Okay, I won't disagree with that. I am an old man...HELLO McFly!!

Most everyone in here knows I'm almost 50, your point please? As far as the "Offraod" scene as you spell it. (You sound like a young man).

Well I don't drive a 4X4 however I have owned several. Other than yourself, I never knew anyone with a real 4X4 that thought "Debadging" was a major priority in off-roading.

Suspension, gear ratios, drive-trains, transfer cases, etc, were the priority with these people. You know, stuff that actually helped in off-roading. From your comments one can only conclude you believe debadging out weighs performance?.

And as far as my age goes, well I can boast purchasing not one, but two 69 Z-28's, a 1970 Trans-Am, 455 H.O., plus a believe it or not a Dodge challenger with a 440 Magnum, (God I would love to own that car now), plus several other so called Muscle machines while they were only a couple years old.

Being an old man does have it's perks, especially when retirement comes one year from this September. I'll take being old ya young fart!

Respectfully,
H.H.

The debadge gives the truck an entire new look I think. I am going to remove the bump strips on the doors soon. This goes right along with removing the ambers from the front lights. Less colors/objects to break up the lines make the truck look smooth, long and the lines flow from font to back.

When you build a chopper you want it to be "Long and low". Well I think the best look for one of these trucks is "Long and tall".

As far as the "offroad scene", if you bought one of these trucks to take offroad you screwed up.

Are you saying I should not go off road with my TRX4 4X4 truck of the year for its off road ability.

To DEBADGER have fun and good luck with you project.

well thats great everyone has their own opinions as they should. yes im young at 23 and yes ur old. so therefore youve owned more. but not once did i say anything about it outweighing performance so your altzeimers must be kickin in. to each his own and ive already got it over 400rwhp so again i like smooth looks, hence the debadging, and brute performance.

goodday and happy retirement,
Rik

P.S. i to will be retiring in my 40's but about 42

Okay let me see if I have this right.

First you start yacking about debadging which is fine and dandy, but then you throw in: "so u obviously dont know anything about the sport street scene or even the offraod scene".

Now pay particular close attention to the last two words in that sentence. I know the spelling is a bit odd but I'd be willing to bet you meant to say, "off-road scene".

Now in your last thread you claim, and I quote: "but not once did i say anything about it out weighing performance".

It's apparent your memory is in the lacking at best. How you even mentioned the two together, debadging and off-road scene, stiffles the imagination. And for the record mine is perfectly healthy thank you very much.

In my defense, I never put you down, nor attempted at best, a feeble insult. I did however express my opinion on debading and also asked a question.

If you want to debadge more power to you but it's not for me. Good luck on your early retirement at age 40. You'll going to need a lot more than luck to retire at that early age and judging from your spelling you're going to need it....BWA!!! (now that was a zinger).

This subject is now weighing on the light side. Hope everything works out on your rig.

Regards,
H.H.

I debadged my Ram for the simple reason that all badges seem like an afterthought to vehicle design in general. And for a vehicle like the Ram, everybody will already know what it is without looking for the badges.

It give the truck a little more of a upscale look, IMO, and makes washing, and particularly polishing and waxing a lot easier.

Copied from the Turtle Wax thread. Ignore the lack of tire polish.

Do what you want... its your pickup.
But my 2 cents is your not "cleaning it up" your cheapening it.
