Biggest tire 2004 QC 4X4
My truck has 245 70 17s on it stock and the tires look a little small. I was wondering what the biggest tire diameter would fit with the stock suspension. I traded in my Nissan Frontier that had TOYO Open Country A/T 265 70 16 with only a slight t-bar crank and I loved the way the tire filled the wheelwell. I would like my truck to look like its a 4WD.
Are you sure you have the 3.92 ratio? I'm also a little confused as you ask what is the biggest that fits on a 4x4 and then say you want it to look like a 4x4.
As a point of reference, I have the 3.55 ratio and LT275/70/17 tires on my truck and I think that they fill the wheel wells without it looking "overstuffed" That tire is a 32.4" tire and would be a big step up from the 30.6" tire you have now. As far as a power decrease, I didn't feel any over the 265/70/17 I had before which slots in between what you have now and what I had before.

Tag in the glove box and on the axle.
The 245 Radails just dont look like a 4X4 tire. It looks more like a "car" tire.
I has thinking I could fit a 275 but I wasn't sure.

Gotcha
I just thought it was a weird combo with the 245 tires and the 3.92 I bet that thing hauls ****.
You can fit 285's as well from my understanding. Do a search and I'm sure you can find someone with the combo you're looking for.

Is that what they did? Change the tire size to accomodate the axle ratio? Seems reasonable. My truck was a Corporate demo registered to home office so maybe it was ordered that way. Oh yeah....It does haul!
