Default bilstein update

i talked with a tech. from bilstein today and he assured me that the 2006 ram will use the same part number as the 02-04 rams. just ordered mine today and can`t wait to get rid of that floating feeling up front. the two part numbers are( be5-6927-h0 and be5-2550-h1)

I mentioned this in another thread.

I found a great price on Ebay. I found a bunch of ads for various Bilstein shocks from the same seller. I contacted him with the Bilstein part # I wanted. He got back to me in two days with a great price. Beat the lowest price I found by $10 each and shipping was super cheap. I don't have his Ebay seller name. It might have been a Ebay store.

I'm curious as to the difference they make. Please give us an update after you install them. I hate the way the 2006 handles.

I have them now for a couple of weeks on my 04 qc, 4X4.

They are softer and seem to keep the rubber down better, especially around turns with little bumps.

Not as much improvement as I though they would be, but much better than stock.

kenihemi,

I appreciate your input but the 2004 models never had a handling problem. I traded in my 04 Ram for the 2006 model. The 06 handles like crap compared to the 04 and that's my reasoning for wanting to know if the new shocks will help.

Thanks anyway!

The 04's had a problem with the 4X4 QC with the tow package like mine. The rear tried to come around on you in turns if there were any bumps in the road.

And it was much worse in the rain.

Well I had the 2 wheel drive, not a 4X4. If you want to experience bad handling, go test drive an 2006 Ram. Those of you that never driven a Ram prior to 06 have no way of understanding what I'm talking about.
