Default Hard steering

I have an 04 Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins with 52,000 mi. The steering does not return to center on its own as if the caster is not right. I've had it aligned and the dealer loosened the adjustment on the steering gear with no resluts. This problem only started about a month ago. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Are you running different tires? Or maybe something different than the stock size? I find similair issues when I change tires on my vehicles. The size will effect it for sure, but also depending on the stickiness of the tire may effect too. Just mt $.02

I relpaced the tires at 36,000 mi with the same brand and size. At that time I had chrome plated alloy wheels from American Racing installed with the tires. Theu are the same width ( 8") and almost the same offset. This problem didn't start until approx. 2,000 mi. ago. Thanks for the reply....Mike

The problem with my steering turned out to be the steering gear. After replacing it te steering is back the normal. The dealer got Dodge to take care of it.
