Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Shorted?
 

P0445. okay, so i searched and found no definate answer. exactly what does this code mean? and how do i fix it?

It means that the evaporative system vacuum solenoid isn't firing. I had the exact same problem with mine recently. I took it in under warranty and they said they found a wire near the front drive shaft was rubbing. They cut 10" out and soldered in a new chunk. Then they wire tied back into the frame rail.

The solenoid is energized to pull a vacuum on your tank and charchol canister.

sadly being as i bought mine used as an 02, i dont have a warranty. where is the solinoid so i can try to track down any problems like that

I believe its located with the charchol canister which is located near the frame rail behind the driver.
