I just purchased a 06 quad cab with the 5.7 Hemi, does anyone know if the addition of a CAI and muffler will affect the effeicency of the MDS, not for the good obviosly. Also i would like some opinions on what type of muffler i am leaning toward a flowmaster delta flow 50 series, i want something with minimal cab noise but that sounds good outside the truck, i have chosen a k&n intake. Any opinion will be greatly appreciated

 

I have both the items you listed and love the combination,the 50 series muffler is relitively quiet at idle and cruising speeds,but roars when you get into it!i work odd hours and didnt want to wake the whole neighborhood when I come home in the middle of the night so I went with the quieter 50,I have a friend with a 40 and he has a wicked cab resonance at cruising speed,it gives me a headache!Go with the setup your considering and you wont be disappointed.As far as the MDS goes,I dont have any any Idea,mine is pre MDS!

 

I have a Magnaflow just the muffler and the 4" tip with the aft resonator removed I love the way it sounds and I barley hear the MDS when it kicks in .
