Taking my truck back to shop tomorrow to have the rear diff looked at.
The dealership tells me that there is a certain amount of slop/backlash that is considered normal wear. They're telling me if within those specs they can do nothing about it.

Question: Does anyone know that number? I'd say it's measured in thousandths. I'd like to be armed with the info in the morning.

From the FSM for 2005, for a rear 9.25" diff, the backlash is to be set to .003"-.004"
