HELP!!! Parking lights stuck on

HELP!!! Parking lights stuck on
Yesterday when getting out of my truck I noticed that my alarm was sounding telling me I had either left me keys in the ignition or that my lights were on. I doubled check to make sure that my keys were in my hand and that the lights were in fact switched off. However, I did notice my parking lights were still on and that they would not shut off. Thankfully my truck has a safety device that shuts my lights off automatically after a few minutes so that the battery will not go dead. I have checked the parking light relay and that does not seem to be the problem so for now I have removed the relay so I have no parking lights at all, but my alarm still sounds. I also noticed that just starting my truck turns on the parking lights even if I have my lights switched off and it does not have automatic lights. Any ideas what could be wrong?

RE: HELP!!! Parking lights stuck on
Don't know what exactly could be wrong but................... a re-set of the whole computer system might solve the problem.....?
Just remove the negative connector from the battery.
Switch the truck on and try and start it.
Leave all the lights switched to the on position for say 5 mins. This will drain any residual volatge left in the system.
Switch everything back to off, after the 5 minutes.
Re-connect the battery and see what happens.
BTW, this will also re-set your PCM module, so when you first start your truck up, it will take a while for the idle etc to settle down untill it re-learns fuel/air mix etc.
Hope this help?
