Default How about exhaust for under 200$???

I went to pepboys to order a replacement performance muffler for my 03 HEMI 1500. Gunna buy a dynomax ultraflow weld series and it is a direct replacement muffler. why go for a while cat back system when the truck already boasts 3" piping...Plus as far as a tip goes...spend like 50$ on a chromed tip and put it right over the old one. What could be a better deal if your looking to get away with a good exhaust without dumping 400-600$ dollars on a quality cat back system??

The real question you need to ask yourself is what end result are you looking for? If you are looking for sound minus performance than you are in your price range if you want both performance plus a good aggressive sound than bank your 200 bones and save up for what your really looking for. Reason being in the end you may say boy I wish I wouldve done this or that with my exhaust system. Then you have to start from scratch where at least now your 200 to the good. Just a slight suggestion. I hope this helps let us know what you do.

Yeah dog, I can go to The Home Depot and spend $200 on some pvc and fittings and white plastic tips and make a badass exhaust system! Or I could do it right and make sure my back pressure and torque stay in tact and have it sound mean at the same time...another $160 wont kill you and you can probably save that in what, at least 2 months, it's worth the wait. I got mine done for $360, from the muffler back it is all aftermarket...you have the 3" pipe to the muffler stock, have a good muffler put on that sounds mean, run 2.25-2.75" pipes out the back and get the chrome tips...that keeps back pressure in and helps or at least doesn't drop the performance...

The muffler I am going to buy is a Dynomax ultra flow weld series muffler. It is a performance muffler that will up the sound and performance. I dont think I should have a problem with losing back pressure because it is the stock piping, all im replacing is the muffler. So I am pretty sure it is a safe and sound swap.

thats all i want. If its too loud its cool...but gets annoying very quick. nobody likes long drives with that loud humming to bother you the whole way. Neighbors dont like it either haha.
