Seems like someone is a little pissy here, but I guess if I were in a 100 * + desert I would be too.

As for shutting it off, it took me a couple times to get it right. Good luck.

Yup,

Did mine a long time ago, and it took me a couple of attempts to get it right.

It might also help to point out that we are talking about the latest Rams that both "ding" and flash (like my '06) whereas with my '03, only the light comes on and just stays on.

Hey New2Durango check out the post from mikahb about programming the door locks. There is an addendum for the 06. Worked for me.

I just did mine and it said to:

1. put key in the ignition
2. put seat belt on
3. start truck
4. buckle and unbuckle at least 3 times within 10 seconds with the seatbelt ending up fastened
5. turn off truck, if you hear a chime you have successfully disengaged the seatbelt chime

I got it done on my first try!

Drew

Glad to find this post. And don't assume if someone wants to turn it off that they are gonna drive around all the time with no seat belt. I'm turning mine off because when I stop to check my mail when I first drive in my apt complex, I don't put it back on to drive the rest of the way to my apt, but it takes long enough that the alarm comes on and bugs the chit outta me. Other than small, short trips like that, I wear my seat belt EVERYWHERE. So buckling up the center belt do the drivers lock would defeat the purpose for me. Glad someone answered that young soldiers question.

FYI...spending 12 hours in aHUMMV seat is enough to earna Purple Heart, it's like sitting on a piece of plywood with a little foam stapled to it.
