Default Air Fllter-Muffer Mods

I just purchased a 2006 Ram 1500 with a V-6 Will a aftermarket Air Filter Kit and Free Flow Muffler help get better gas mileage if so is it worth the extra cost doing this type of mod, if so how much MPG should I be able to pick up.

What Muffer should I be looking for I want it QUIET, I just gotten rid of my nosiy Gas hog full size Ford 3/4 ton ruff riding 4X4 with loud muffer and off road tires, I enjoying this quiet smouth riding truck for a change.

What air filter system should I get or a replacment K&N type for the stock air box help or do I need to the complete new air filter system.

I purchached the V-6 for MPG it is a 6 speed trans I know it's not a hot rod I out grow that stage of my life, if I have a need for speed I dig my CR 250 out.

This is my daliy commuter truck 60 miles round trip to work and back mostly open Hwy.

well, i know for a fact that the air filter will help. but the exhaust i hear will waste more gas. stock exhaust is your best choice for gas is what my mechanic said.
