Lift Kit on Hemi Ram
So i was out yesterday looking for a lift kit for my Truck. It is 2003 Hemi Ram QC. What i came up with was a 5" lift kit from Pro Comp. i noticed that dodges and fords with a same siz lift kit sit a bit higher than the chevys. so i was looking for a 4" because 6" would be too high and impractical for my truck. is there any suggestions on how high i should go and wat r some good lift kits to look for. i also want air bags in the back so when im hauling something my tail end dont sag to the ground. My truck has the 20" rims and im gonna keep with those. so should i go with a 35 tire or would i want to go bigger.
wow someone else from saskatchewan!! haha. I dont thnk u can get a 4" lift. Get a 3" body lift though and the leveling kit for the front end which would ammount to about 4" of lift overall and ya go with 35's they will be nice. Be ware though, putting them on those 20's is gonna be one HELL of a price. I priced out 35's AND a set of eagle alloys for the same price as getting just tires to put on the 20"s. Anyways good luck
yeah i priced a set of tires that was just a little more of an aggressive tread and it came out to 1400 for just 285s for my stock 20s. so i think im just gonna keep buying the cheap goodforayears at the dealer. i dont have the money to spend on expensive tires and if i can get a set for 400 at the dealer that will last me about 40k miles then ill go with that.
Rancho makes a 4" lift. if you shop around for tires you can pick them off line for not bad prices and get them shipped to SK. I am from Estevan and pcik most of my stuff out of the US especially with the good conversion rates now. eg. 35" mud grapplers about $1000usd for 4.
i think i am goin to go with the 5" lift that pro comp makes. it is a little higher than i want but oh well. then i was looking at the bf goodrich all-terrain tires. i heard some good things about them. i don't want tires that wear out on the highway a lot because i do a lot of highway driving between regina and stoughton.
