I still have less than 3000 Km on my 06 2500 ram 5.7 6sp, some say the manual trans is built by mer benz, well this trans sounds like a school bus, the 6 sp is geared rather low, even in 5th and 6th gear, the trans is rathier noisey, is thier any aftermarket gear oil I can replace the manual trans fluid with?

First oil change I swapping out the gear oil, would Royal purpul syn work?

 

hey solved the problem....just replaced the Trans Fluid threw my dodge dealer, Tech admited noise was loud but no worse than average for the six speed, the trans for my hemi was built in Brazil...anyhow I went a head and replaced the fluid..
