my 06 slt has a radio cd player and a aux output.i would like to find out what the aux output is for.

Yup. Press the mode button until AUX shows in the display. Now you can listen to your iPod.

That's a nice option. I just purchased an aftermarket head unit that has the AUX in port on the front side of the radio. Easy to access with the MP3 player. Gonna have to come up with a way to mount the MP3 player though instead of it just bouncing around in the cupholders!

 

You can also use it for your XM radio.
