Eledbrock shocks
I have the wheel hop. I can't stand it, it makes the truck seem and look like it has no power. I want to make sure im getting all my horses to the ground. Ive had heavy objects in the back and notice a different in the way the tires grip. Taking turns and accelerating makes them hop i just dont like it. Will putting stiffer shocks such as the edelbrock smart shocks keep my tires planted? And maybe even allow me to grip better in just taking off?
Many here complain of axle hop, especially over freeway expansion joints and bad roads. Of everyone that has noticed a difference in ride, the following thing is in common....more weight in the rear. Whether it was sandbags or a hard tonneau, adding 100-200 pounds in the rear seems to have the biggest impact.
Before I traded my truck, I had swapped out factory shocks for the Monroe Reflex shocks. While they helped over washboard and bad roads, I don't think I could justify the price. I had better luck with some sand bags from Home Depot in the back.
