Default Truck toppers...

I'm going to buy a truck topper For my 06 2500 Ram Reg cab with a 8 ft box, I'm amazed out how expensive a base Leer, Raider and Arrow topper are.

Has any one had any expierance with thease brands? Booth Raider and Arrow are made in Canada, Leer is a USA made topper.

I will have to factery order one to fit a long box truck and I want it to match my truck, I'm considering driving into the Sates if the price is right, or driving into BC or sask if I can get a better deal than here in Calgary.
Thanks...

cyclone 429,
I don't have any of the ones you mentioned, but I did look at a Leer when I was shopping and ended up with a Century cap on mine. I liked the look of it better and it was laid out better. Here's a link to the Century Caps http://www.centurycaps.com/fiberglass_caps.php

I got the High "C" model

Oh ya, you're right---they're not cheap!!!

I have the Arrow Matrix on mine, I paid $1525.00 plus taxes...had to factory order mine. It took almost 4 weeks but I really like it. It was also wired and install with that price. I originally wanted a Leer, but that was about a $1000.00 more.

Hey Cyclone, I am also looking into picking up 1 but am going with the Raider Nomad II, it's about 2200 but depends what extras you want with it. I found that Arrow had good prices but is more of a regular style look, the Raider seems to have the nice shape and curves that look really nice on the Dodge. Living in Ablerta though you should be able to find a better deal then in BC I would think?

I have been trying to post pics of mine but my pic are too big...I have to resize them to post. My canopy has tinted glass and is the large side glass style cab high and matched to my paint. I have had mine about 2 years and no leaks!! It also has the rear quarter tilt out windows and front slider.

Raider vegabound is running me 1700.00 cdn before tax....A arrow version is 1400.00 cdn, I really like the Nomand style but I'm not going to pay 2000,00 + for one, the cheapet I found is a brand called big steal, 1200.00 painted patriot blue made here in Calgary, but I don't like the looks of the brand...

Most likely I will not get a Raider topper because they don't do factery direct orders, I can't have a white topper on a blue truck and because I have one with a 8 ft box, no dealer here in calgary has a topper to fit my truck, Looks like I'm going to call arrow up and order one.....

I'm also trying to find a Century dealer here in canada, the Century rep responed back to me with a excell spread sheet file, I don't have excell on my coumputer so that was a waste of E-space...
