need racing tips
hey guys! need a little bit of help. well tonight me and some friends are heading out to another friend of mines house. there he has a all pavement landing strip that he uses for his hobby planes. on this landing strip we burn out and race each others cars and trucks. well tonight my buddy asked me to run his stock 2003 4.7L QC dodge ram 1500 against a stock chevy 1500 x-tended cab with a rebuilt 350. both trucks are short beds and 4x4s. so do i have any hope of winning? should i run it in O/D or not? should i speed shift it? any tips would help. i would love to show this chevy loving guy what a real truck can do.
Yall aint goin to believe this. i kicked his ***. i will give him credit cuz top end we were even but i got him right off from the start. my truck stayed in first gear a lot longer then his truck did. when i hit 2nd i left him.
just goes to show who's the best.

lol nice chebby kill... i lined up with a GMC sierra with my dad,mom and brother in the car with me, it was a 2000ish model ext cab and it pulled from me, about 1/2 length at about 1/8 mi marker... i also lined up against an RSX acura and he was about 1/2 length behind me at the line so i figured he wasnt trouble... then b4 the light turned he took off and it turned green, he got about a car length ahead of me, but when he shifted to 2nd, i was still pullin and passed him... a quick red light stopped us so it was only about a 3oo yrd race, but we ended up even
