I did not have any probs with the oem mud flaps. They are not very hard to put in at all. The wheel liners from what I have read are not very hard at all. I would say just get the parts and put them in yourself and save the $$$.
I've done both and I say not hard at all the liners make a big diierance in the appearance . I paid 91.00 for the liners with shipping from Ebay I got the mud flaps from the dealer and paid too much I found them on ebay cheaper after I allready put them on .
My mud flaps with the Hemi Ram Alum. logo were 90.00 a pair, the self tapping bolts are stronger than the bolts holding the plastic fender lines to the fenders ( I don't have the rear wheal well liner ) Thier going to be tricky to put on but they will fit, aviod dealers, but my lower rockers are getting chewed up by the BFG R/T kicking up rocks.....
Wash your wheal wells before puting on the flaps, and the God dam bolts that hold the fender to the plastic liner will not allow the flaps to fit flush, thier are clips on the back of thease bolts, so I don't want to mess with them...
I put both in and it was easy and enjoyable. The liners really clean-up the truck and should have come on it from the factory like my last Ram. IMO,.. both items really protect the truck and should be put on asap.
I bought the front & rear OEM molded splash guards and couple of weeks later got the rear wheel well liners...I should have bought them both at the same time. You will need to drill a couple of holes for the rear splash guards. I found that removing the rear wheels made the installation easier. Install the rear wheel well liners 1st then the molded splash guards. I installed the molded splash guards 1st which need to be attached to the existing liner on the rear which has to be removed and discarded when you install rear wheel well liners. The wheel well liners had all the holes aligned up and therefore the installation went easy. I did have a floor jack, air wrench and misc. tools such as a square point shovel to remove and install the rear wheels which made the job a lot easier.
