I bought my 4.7L 2002 bout a year ago.
i have a ticking problem but woundering is the lifters hard to replace and what is involved on the newer motors?

i know my older ford 5.0L was very eazy to replace.( valve cover, rocker arms and then lifters)

also does anybody have a write up on the procedure or pdf manaul?

What does a stuck lifter sound like. got same truck just want to no what to look out for..

 

try octane booster or 89 octane fuel first, make sure its not valve lash or chatter before you tear your motor down.
