900 mile trip in my Ram
Well, went on my first long trip in my Ram, 900 miles round trip from my house to Los Angeles to pick up an ATV.
Mileage going down was 15.28(math, not overhead) overhead had me at about 16. I watched my speed for about half the way down and was holding at 17-18 on the overhead with a/c on about 50% of the time. Coming back AC was on most of the time, I was hauling an ATV and was not watching the speed, I didn't even bother to look at the overhead but I did have to stop one more time for gas coming home then going down, just to be safe.
Even with a 650 LB quad in the back coming home you'd hardly even know it. Passing going uphill like it was empty. That power sure comes in handy in heavy traffic and getting around @-holes who can't drive in the correct lane.
Got pissed at one gas station, 3.49 for mid grade, so said heck with it, got 87, was a mistake, I could tell the difference when punching the gas.
Hit a few rough spots on the freeway a bit too fast and almost bounced once.
Sirius sure is nice to have.
LA sucks, you can have it, I'll stick to No. Calif.
Overall I was extremely satisfied with how the Ram handled the trip. Very comfortable and quiet.

Ex LA/Orange County resident now living in Tulsa, Oklahoma and spent 10 years in Wichita, Kansas. I can tell you for a fact that I HATE the LA/OC area.Traffic sucks and good luck trying to see those 11,000 foot mountains from 10 miles away in smog. I am so happy to be out of there and enjoying the mid-west lifestyle.
Maybe one day i will bring the Ram out there to California, as the parents still live there. But for now its country roads and hunting equipment for my Ram.
