Default power wagon problem

I have a 2006 regular cab power wagon with 6speed man. I wasnt more then 5 miles out of the dealership (brand new) when the "service 4 wheel drive light" goes on , then the "axel lock light starts" flashing. To make a long story short. The dealership concludes its needs a "Actuator Locker" and the problem will be solved. Im now up to 4 days of my brand new truck at the dodge service. Im not more then 5 miles from it getting "fixed" and the lights start flashing again. Huge buzz kill. I have a broken new truck. Can anyone help me out ? Thanks Jimmy

If they cant fix the same problem 3 times, it will fall under the Lemon Law.

4x4 light came on on mine on the way home from dealership too (1500 TRX4). Had it in for repairs twice... seems to work now. First time they said it was the actuator was burnt out. They replaced that and after a few days it started acting up again. Turns out whatever electronic device was controlling the actuator was telling it to actuate at innapropriate times (like go ino neutral whilst the truck was parked, or 4 low whilst I was idling), and the burnt out actuator was the result of that, not the cause of the problem. Replaced electronics et voila...

Jimmy1,

I have an '06 Power Wagon with an auto trans and just went through the same issue. Luckily, I had about 2600 mi. on mine and LOTS of 4-wheeling already, so I can just imagine your frustration of not even having it off-road yet. Let me say right off that this truck is VERY capable off-road. There is simply no peer in the pick-up truck arena.

Did you get it fixed? Mine flashes about once a week for a few minutes. But my lockers work fine. I dont want to go to the dealer and get the run around because they cant get it to flash.
