Fellas, my 06, 2500 5.7L Hemi had a whining noise. I know all of you are saying its in the lower midsection of the vehicle near the transmission but I just wanted to see if I could help and say that mine was both of the idler pulleys and the tensioner. Which ever one it was, Im not sure but I immediately noticed the noise when it started making it and was terrified at first but 10 mins and 50 bucks made it stop.
