Well i just threw a P0445 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Shorted code for the second time. I was discussing things with some guys at work, and they had brought up that even the if the factory warranty was done, that they have to warrant the emissions control items to 100k. Have anyone here heard about this, before i go to the dealer?

 

check your OM. I think it's in there.

 

Emissions warenty should be 7 years or 70000 miles, Fed thing

 

In California the emission warranty is 15 yrs or 150,000 miles, which ever comes first.

God I'm glad I live in a state with no emission control.

 

I think it is the ECU that is warranted for that long. Just check the owner's manual. It is very state specific, especially if you live to Kalifornia.

 

i did check my owners manual, it says everything it at least 2 years, then 'specific' parts for 8/80. but everytime i call my dealership they dick me around. and not exactly being in the states anymore makes it harder
