Default 4.7 Performance?

I have an 03 standard cab with 20" wheels, and a 4.7. The only thing i have done to it is a magnaflow exhaust system, and a k&n. I took it to the track today for the first time since ive had it, and put down a 10.448 1/8 mile with a 2.202 60 foot. other than putting a hemi in it, what can i do to pick up the performance more than this. say to get a 10 flat or possibley high 9's. (if thats even possible) ive heard of a cam set that will make it run pretty good, but i dont want to do something that might affect the drivablity. any suggestions??

could rebuild the transmission. that will help a little. get a chip or if you want it in the low 9's a supercharger.

Put smaller wheels on it, 20s take alot to get going. Most important is the gearing. Change out the gearing and you will see the most noticeable improvemnet.

4.56 gears, rebuild trans, lightweight smaller wheels with good quality tires, superchip made a performance chip for the 03 4.7s but nto for any year after that so you can get a chip and im assuming you want a 9 second 1/8 mile not 1/4. id say that with some lower gears and lightweight wheels with good tires you could be into the low 10s/high 9s for the 1/8 mile. also lowering the rear end a little might help.

as for your cams ive heard that the biggest you can go without having to change out other things is a 209.

some other things that will make small differences fastman 68.5 mm throttle body, tonneau cover, some exhaust mods and maybe a hurst shifter or some other kind of shift kit/floor shifter.
