Anyone had to replace their heater core on a 02 RAM 4.7? Dealer told my wife the A/C had to be evacuated and dash completely removed. Sounds a bit suspicious. What's the cost of the part? (Dealer = $75, NAPA = $110) Cost for dealer to install $1000+.....OUCH!!!!!!!!

I am not going to BEND OVER and TAKE it from them. Some would though....

Current resolution was to simply bypass the heater.

How many miles do you have on your vehicle? Isn't it covered by the warranty?

 

Sorry for the delay. Thought I'd get a response in my inbox. Truck is out of warranty as far as that goes. The powertrain and an additional "worthless" warranty is the only ones remaining.
