does the synthetic oil really improve your mpg? If so how much of a difference? Also how many miles are recomended between changes?

I doubt it will improve your mileage but it will improve the wear and tear inside your engine.

According to the Power Block on Spike TV, they did a test of Royal Purple and found a little better mileage and HP. Nothing substantial, 2-3 ponies and 0.2-0.3 MPG.

I use royal purple and have had very good luck with it. Stays very clean. I am going to put Amsoil in my dakota and see what I think of it.
