(Simple Mod #2) - Aluminum Radio Bezel? - Nah Just Paint!
Now I loved the look of the aluminum radio bezel like in the SRT10.
But unfortunately I could not see myself spending over $300 for a mere radio bezel just because it had aluminum on it. That money can go toward new tires. Ya know what I mean!?
Never the less being the creative person that I am, I thought outside of the box. I pulled out my stock radio bezel and ac buttons. I then taped off the whole area surrounding the radio, and proceeded to use Duplicolor caliper spray paint. Making sure that each coat was light and no drips would occur. Now I have used this paint on my race / show project car for the same thing, and it has yet to scratch, chip or flake off. If you do it correctly it will come out Mint with no chance of it coming off.
So here is the finish product, and the funny thing is noone knows its paint until I tell them.
"Think outside the box!"
Oh the A.C. Buttons were sprayed with light coats as well. - That paint is very forgiving!

I know this is a dumb question but how did you get the radio bezel and ac buttons off? I am looking forward to doing this to my truck, but I need to know how to get them off. Did you paint the gauge surroundings too? Also, what is the exact name of the paint, and where can I get it?
How did you do the instrument cluster?

Then paint it the color you want. Here are some instructions for installing:

If you are thinking about painting some of your interior pieces I would suggest downloading the maintenance manual as it is a big help figuring out how to remove things.
