suspension
ok i just picked up an 02 ram. im 17 this is my first post. im into dirtbiking and stuff and dont like the way the car angles forward (rear is higher than front). i would love a lift kit but i dont want blocks. im thinkin about goin with some 2 and a half inch spacers in the front with rancho shocks all around. im on a budget and love the car - any suggestions or opinions on suspension?
Just heads up most likley after you lift the truck you going to put bigger tires on the truck well the V-6 IS NOT NO POWER HOUSE THATS FOR SURE you most likley will need to regear the rear end it's not cheep and you stopping distance will increase kind of like dirt biking you need to regear or change sprockets combs for diffrent tracks or trail riding for ethier more bottom end or more top end, rejet the carb to get the right combo to get the bike to work the best.
I ride a CR 250 well kind of it has a big bore kit on it 295 RPM kit I had to tweak it to get it right, I traded in my 2002 Ford F-250 SD 4X4 with 5.4 V-8, 37-13.50-18 Mickey Thomson ATZ tires with 6.5 inch lift Ect list go on and and on, It was regeared from 3.73 to 4.56 it sucked gas top heavy and did not stop well at all do to the oversize tires and lift and it rode rough.
So what I trying to say is if I was you dont do it just stay with the stock size tires or just go wider save you'r self a bunch of money and enjoy the truck smouth ride and good MPG trust me on this one gas price are just going go back up in time MPG Helps.
What do you ride.
If I do any thing to this truck my self is wider tires and wheels, I mite regear the rear end from 3.20 rear end to 3.73 limited slip Carrior so it comes off the line a lot better I don't what to lose MPG but enough to Pull the Whole shot Ha Ha.
This is after my warrenty runs out.

ya man ive thought about needing bigger tires and all that stuff. thats why i was maybe lookin at goin with a small lift in teh front just to level it out a little. i wont be u know 4X4 with it im just goin for looks. i appreciate the feedback. ive got an xr250 with a fmf pipe so far and have an xr50 that ive spent too much money on but its soo fun - haha we'll see what i decide to do. about gearing i dont no anthin about that. i might get an air intake and leave the other stuff alone cause i like how it rides now (engine wise) - down the road i wanna get a 2 smoke bike how do u like the 250?
