Default New keys and rmotes

Since my truck was stolen I diceded to up grade my alarm system. Total cost $400.00 .It was done by a Dodge dealer. Only one problem ,now the alarms go off by there self. and the only way to shut them off is by starting up the truck. Last night it went off at 12 :30 am.and again at 5 am. Both times I went outside with my 40 cal pistol. Just in case. After a while I'm taking it back to the dealership.

Silver Eagle. You’re too sensitive. There should be a control module under the dash on the driver’s side that zip tided to the wiring harness. There a small **** on it. That’s your sensitivity setting. Turn it counter clockwise. I my self have the EVS II Alarm System. and if the settings is set to high, the Winds sets it off. I hope this helps. ~Kenny~

In addition to the alarm system, you might want to consider a LoJack system. Just my two cents....

i dont know if it's a hoax or if it's only on the 06 but i read something somwhere saying that all the dodge vehicles have a lojack kind of system in them already and the dealership has to track it down or something like that. any truth to this? there was also a sticker on my window about it.

There's a new systm out now called Witness. It's a system that works like a GPS. You can follow your truck on your computor and when you locate it you can shut off the motor and lock the doors so who ever has it is trapped inside.Cost about $379.00 plus $129 to install. LoJack cost around $995.00 each. And the police have to have the time to locate it. I'll look for this button when it gets light tomorrow. thanks.

If it's an aftermarket alarm, sometimes there is a glass-breakage sensor that is too sensitve.
I had a Clifford in another vehicle that went off alot do to the cracking noise you sometimes get when the dashboard is cooling off after a hot day. Had to throw that sensor away to eliminate the false alarms.
