Default I do not get it...

Nissan is advertising the most HP in its 4x4 in its class. Is the Titan and Ram in a different class? Reason I ask I just checked out their website and it states 5.6L 318HP? My last math course I ever took was Calc 465, even in that warped class 318 was still less than 345.

Maybe I am missing an option.

Probably most horsepower in the standard V8...as opposed to the optional Hemi...marketing execs always tick me off.

I think that Nissan can get away with that because a base Titan has a 5.6L v8, the only engine availabe to a Titan. A base Dodge or Ford or Chevy all have v6's, which is much less than a base Titan with a v8. I think if you listen closely to those Titan ads they state that they have the most power in base models.

I guess nissan got some more power to the titan this year because I was pretty sure they had 305hp in 2006

I do not think that is the case, but it would be a good idea to just kill the 4.7, it would save DC money! I am not talking about just the Ram line, across the board.

Why?

Well only having to build and put in one power plant would reduce costs, but many would say they want the 4.7 to get better gas milage, well that also is not the case. The 4.7 is rated the same in the city as the 5.7, and the 5.7 is rated at 1MPG more than the 4.7 on the highway.

DC, save money and get rid of the 4.7!

I wish I would have just looked a little harder and got a Hemi. The 4.7 is ok, but it's a mild ok. I'd much rather have the 5.9. Hell, my '97 Grand Cherokee had a 5.2! How's that work? Bigger truck, smaller engine? Oh well, someday the Power Wagon will be parked out front.... someday....
