I've never heard of it, you'd think dodge commercials would be pushin' that puppy if they were!

I thought that the current Diesel was a 5.9 I6 CTD (soon to be replaced by the 6.7). And that there was 3 gas motors available for the dodge ram, the 5.7, the 4.7 (1500 only), and the v6(1500 only) not sure of the literage...

dodge does have a 6.1L Hemi that puts out 425hp but funny as it is, they only put it into the cars, like the charger, magnum, and 300. If you wanna put your 7.3L up against a dodge, try a SRT-10 you will sadly lose haha. Wont even have a change i GUARANTEE you that one hehe oh and they already run the 6.7L cummins but not in trucks either, just have it in the chassis cab's. Will be a very impressive engine in the trucks though with numbers at 305 hp/ 610 ft-lb

i read an article that said the new 6.7 cummins had 350 horses and 650 ft lbs of torque.

oh and one of my friends has a chevy 2500 with the 6.0 in it and its a no ***** motor. very weak feeling for the size of motor ive ridden in ram 2500s with the hemi and they feel much more powerful and have more get up and go when pulling a trailer than the 6.0 i expected it to be a powerful motor but i wasnt impressed at all. the only thing its good at doing is drinking gas.

The new cummins 6.7 power ratings are 350/650. I was talking about motors available in the trucks... not cars.

Put that SRT10 motor in a 2500 and then race my 7.3. It's not fair when one truck weighs barely 5,000 lbs and the other weighs over 8,000.

The 6.0 is a gas guzzler. 17 mpg in a regcab long bed, 7 mpg in the CC LWB.

still the srt engine in a 3/4 ton will waste your ford buddy. Thats a 500 hp engine, add 2000 more or 3000 more lbs and it will still be god damn fast. they make a 4 door of it, and its still insane

Back to the topic of ground clearance. I haven't measured the Chevy's vs. the Dodge, but there are a few things about the Chevy I don't like too much. First is the way they have certain crossmembers bolted to the underside of the frame. To me this is a location that is asking for something to strike it, and possibly damage bolt heads, or completely tear them off. Secondly, I don't like standing next to one and seeing the whole frame. I understand even on the Dodge's you can see the frame, but not from top to bottom. Most of the body hangs low enough to cover up the (waiting to rust) frame. I just think its unsightly. With most of the frame being visible on the Chevy, it makes you think that it sits lower, even if it doesn't. Just my $.02

Do they not offer the 6.1 in the SRT-8 Grand Cherokee? I may be wrong, but I thought I remembered seeing one on the lot when I bought my truck.

Default Yea,...I'll race ya.

Yea, I'll race. I have never had a new Ford or Chevy HD beat me yet. As for a modded truck it doesnt really mean much does it?
Modded is'nt stock nor will it have a factory warranty.
