Does limited slip work while in reverse?

I layed two marks in forward on a gravel road pulling something, but in the yard the other day in reverse it started to loose traction and only one mark when I went to fix the damage to the lawn.Is this normal??

Mine does, at least on PW. Put nice marks on the gf's ol' man's driveway, he wasn't impressed. My old truck's, '94 and '01, limited slips didn't work all that great in fwd or rev.
