Does anyone know if a bed extender can be used without the tailgate? I remove my tailgate when I haul my quad cause I don't want it damaged by rocks and gravel, my quad just fits but this would give me some piece of mind.

 

I don't think that would work. When the bed extender is out it rest on the tailgate. Well I think that's what it does. What quad you have?

I have an Outlander 800.

It secures to the truck though, hard to tell from the pix.

 

Well that toy sounds like alot of fun.....

 

Maybe an alternative to the bed extender would be a tire gate?

Thanks for the suggestion, $800 is a bit more then I'm willing to spend though.
