I don't know which in the long run would be better, a 285/70R17 which comes out to a 32.8X11.5, or just get some 33/12.5R17... both are about the same price, any suggestions?

 

Personally, I'd go with the 33x12.50R17's or even 35x12.50R17's if it's in your budget. (They should fit, did on mine) In the end, it's gonna depend on the specific tire(s) and what you think works best.

 

Which brand and model tire? I had some G-Y Wrangler SilentArmor tires on my truck before I traded it and loved them.

 

ProComp is running the 4 for the price of 3 deal this month on all of there tires. And they make the 35x12.5x17. I had a set of there all terrains with the 50K mile warranty, great tire, packs up as much as any other all terrain in the mud though.

 

I am looking at Pro-comp. I like the sale right now buy 3 get 1 free and I like the 50,000 mile warranty on them but I would also like to get a set of BFG's. It is all going to depend on what I see this weekend. I am going to go to a 4 Wheel Expo and I know that I will be able to get a nice set of rims/tires for a good price.
