Freak Occurrence
I was on my way to visit my mom and hit the button to roll down the driverside front window. I take a glance at the window on its way down and faster than a blink of the eye the window cracks lenght wise. I stop the downward motion of the window and start it back upwards and the crack goes upwards. I've never seen anything like it before. Fortunately the new laminated glass installed in the '06 models kept the glass from snapping off.
Fortunately I was near my local Dodge dealer and stopped in to show the Service Advisor to find out if this is a recent occurrence with the '06's and also see if this would be covered under warranty. The dealer is covering this under warranty and will be replacing the window on Monday.
Also found out that my 2006 Ram QC is one of about 140,000 vehicles with a recall for the passenger front seat belt and another for passenger side airbag cushion. Both related to child safety. Recall issued Sept 6, 2006.

It's glass, anything can happen, but it is highly unusual for it to just crack just like that. Impact, yes, but rolling it down; the glass was/is defective. I'd label it under freak occurance.
We have run into situations where windows just explode for no reason. Sitting in the garage, driving down the road, wherever... Its glass, if its within 12/12,000 it should be able to be warrantied.

Why not the 3/36 warranty? Is it not considered a manufacturing defect?
