Default power programers

i was wondering if any one had an opinion on what computer programmer to use.
i have read reviews on most of them and there is mixed feelings
on wether it works or not. some say it does, some say it doesnt,
and i don;t want to spend that kind of money if it only works on
some. i have a 2004 ram 1500 hemi w/ k&n 77 series intake and
40 series flows w 4 inch echo tips.

I own a 06 Ram Hemi... I bought a Hypertech Power Programmer III for it and I love it.... It seems most people have gone with Super Chips... I dont have any experience with them... but again I was pleased with my Hypertech.... you can't change shift points, but the programmer firms up the shift alot.... Before I installed it, it wouldnt hardly spin the tires off the line, but afterwards it would light them up.... I also just put a Brute Force CAI ... the programmer and CAI definatly is a good combo... hope this helps you some...

ya thank u, i read a lot of reviews for that, and most were good reviews,
but the few bad ones make u wonder if u might be one that ends up
not having good luck w them.
so u can't change the shift points huh. what bout the top speed?

No you can't change the shift points... but my truck shifts at about 5700 ... it does increase the top speed to 128 and I tune mine to premium gas... I think that with the SuperChip you can increase top speed to 140... but I am not sure..... did that answer your question??

I paid 299 for the programmer.... it advertises for 399 on this link but when you go to check out you only pay 299 or atleast thats what I did

http://www.martelbrothers.com/catalo...i-p-15739.html

I paid 306 for the CAI... at the following link... again the two really compliment each other and I wouldnt hesitate to say you would be happy with either purchase...

well I cut mine on my 00 Trans Am and it did help... but by cuttin it ... it made the check engine light come on because of the sensor on it... I personally say leave it.... I think once you get your programmer and maybe a CAI you will be plenty happy....
