Triouble Codes
So yesterday my dad filled up the tank in his 5.7 04 ram and after that, it barely started.
So question is, what is the combo to activate the codes and is there a list of all the codes?
Thanks!

Usually, you can get codes by doing the following:
put the key in the ignition and rotate it: on (not start), off, on, off, on. Tha, the odometer with display the PXXXX code.
Here is a list of codes.
If you get a code, it should go without saying to post the actual code (but, some people don't, they just say, "it said the _____ was bad," but sometimes theres more than one code for something).
Since you said it happened (right?) after your dad filled up, I'd say its maybe something with the gas?

I read somewhere that on some Chrysler vehicles that you have to do the key thing 4 or 5 times. Of course, I also have read that there are some years that will not do the key trick at all.
If the check engine light is on, most auto parts stores will check it for free.

Hey try this, put the key in the ignition then hold in the odometer re-set button, while holding that in turn the truck in the on position, or at least I think it is in the on position, then let go. If its not the "on" position try turning it all the way on. Your dash board will light up and your gauges will top out. When they go back down I think that or OD should show the codes if there is any.

The canister on mine is located on the drivers side up inside the frame rails. The canister is used to absorb gas fumes from the tank and then later burn them. What causes the p-code is a vacuum sensor letting the computer know that there isn't enough correct vacuum for the system to work right. Normally it comes down to the gas cap not being tightened down enough, or the rubber connecting lines at the charchol canister are starting to leak---just as "DOC" indicated above
