Default Powerwagon, need somesones help..

I love my new powerwagon, 2006 ex cab with leather and all that goodies. It is equipped just as nice the rubicon i traded in for it when you compare the off road packages. It is a large, powerful, offroad eqipped truck that fits 35s stock and it has lockers.. WHo could ask for more. I dont mind bad gas mileage, really. Driving lifted GM IFS trucks with 35s for years I got over that real quick. They didnt even handle the 35 well, they did it quite poorly in fact. I feel confident in the this the drivetrain of this truck.

HOWEVER

I need to get these lockers to engage in 4-HI. My rubicon could do this because of a modification shown in the link.. Think this might work on a dodge ram? I need to find out which wires are which first... How do i find out which wire is which?

You're not the only one interested in doing this, but I have yet to see any solution. I saw a need, so I tried to find and old electrical engineer college buddy. I know he could figure it out and I could trust him with my truck, but I can not locate him. Did an internet search, no luck. He would do it just for the challenge, that's how he is.
The only possibility, I believe, is to find a real good automotive electronics expert you can trust with your truck and let him look at it for a couple days, then we'll all know.

Lol, I just noticed you've been asking for a couple weeks now. I doubt you'll/we'll get a response on this forum.

If I cant figure or find out how to do the mod I probally will not keep the truck too long....

Chrystler may find it odd, but i NEED to use my lockers in 4hi. I cannot think of many times when i use 4lo.... practically never.

I need to find someone who desgned the thing and ask them...

Depending on how old your friend is.....try myspace. I couldn't believe the amount of people that I found that I went to middle school with and hadnt talked to since I left that school. I'm a college student now and I still talk to them, so it's a great way to keep in touch. Good luck man, have you tried calling the mechanics to see if they know how to solve it?

This topic is probably going to come up again and again. I hope somebody figures out a "fix" for the Power Wagon, but I don't think the Rubicon mod will work. Does the Jeep have the "Smart Bar"?
