limited slip differential and books
Can anyone tell me how to tell if my truck has a limited slip differential I am going to be doing the fluid changes on my truck soon and the owners manual says to add a Limited slip type fluid to the regular fluid when changed on the rear differential only.
The truck is a 2004 QC SB Hemi 4WD floor shifter not ****.
Also where is the best place to get the big dodge repair manual the
dealership uses I saw it for about $275.00 online.
Or does anyone Know of or recommended a aftermarket repair and maintenance Chilton type manual
thanks in advance for any help you can give

I have the same exact vehicle, but mine is a 02. I just had the work done two weeks ago. I basically provided the VIN number to parts man at the dealership, who was able to tell me if i had the limited slip differential, which i do.
Keep in mind, in addition to the Gear Lube, you will need to buy the limited slip additive, which cost about 8.00 dollars a bottle.
My Chilton manual indicated that i needed to add 5oz of this fluid, in addition the gear lube.
I'm not to familliar with the shop manual, $275.00 sounds pretty steep to me. But my Chilton manual seems very informative.
Hope this helps.

You can trying looking in the glovebox for a sticker that has the info on LSD, you can also check the rear axle and see if their is a sticker on there as well.
$275 sounds about right if you actually purchased it, but what's the fun in that?
Here are two sources for the Dodge maintenance manual, and Chilton does not compare to the over 2600 pages of info that this manual supplies.
