Front receiver and plow mount??????
I have a 2004 2500 with a Hemi and I currently have my mount for a fisher minute mount plow on the truck. I was wondering if anyone has left the plow frame on and added a front receiver as well, so you could carry a multi mount winch up front in the Time the plow is not needed. Thanks for any help Tim O...
The front receivers hang real low, seems like it shouldn't be an issue. You might have to cut and weld to add it to the stock plow mount. For what its worth it works with plenty of room on Fords.
I made my own front reciever. If you have the resources (welder, knowledge of fabrication, etc.) then you could always make your own, then it would be exactly what you want. There's not a lot of science to building one.
I have all the resources to fab one up welders, two hitches, etc. What would you guys recommend weld it to the plow mount so it is removable or weld it directly to the frame????? I'm guessing the plow mount would be plenty strong if I welded right near where the plow mount bolts to the frame???? Thanks for the feedback Tim O....
I would make it adapt to the same bolts the plow mount uses. I also haven't seen a Dodge plow mount yet so I don't know if that is possible. Would work on the Chevys and Fords I have seen.
Remember, gussets are your friend when fabricating without doing calculations.

That may be possible to weld 1/4 steel plate to the receiver then drill and use the same bolts.. I'll definitely be using plenty of gussets...Thanks for the opinion...........Tim O
