I need to know what the gurgling is. I have a feeling it has something to do with the problem. RAZ 123 any luck, you have the same symptoms I have, wondering how you made out.

I have the same exact problem. I can hear the water when I start to move from a stand still and when I'm coming to a stop. I don't know what it is or how to fix it but i thought it would give you piece of mind knowing that you're not crazy and someone else has this problem. My heat is also the same way.

No heat on driver side + Gurgling = blown heatercore.

See here for pics when I did mine.

The gurgling is air being moved through the heatercore.

It's technically illegal to vent refrigerant into the atmosphere. You'll need to take it to a shop to have it recharged anyways, so go to a shop and ask if they'll recover the refrigerant as part of the recharge service.
