As some of you may know Chet, then you probably know the situation. For those that dont know him, he's a 3rd Gen Ram owner and a member of the Air Force. He's recently come home from the Middle East in the late spring and wrecked his motorcycle in early June. He's a very good rider, and he's an instructor as well. He went thru a clean intersection and lost it. They're still not sure if some kind of animal ran out in front of him or not. Chet, (aka Nick) doesnt remember anything from it. He lost his right leg from the knee down and banged up the other one pretty good. He's been going thru rehab these last few months and he's made great strides in his physical therapy.
What I'm doing here is passing on a message from one of his military friends. Chet's wife has been really great thru this whole ordeal, thru him being deployed and also with him thru this accident. They're trying to do a little something nice for her. Here's the information that Chet provided to me.
Basically, this is an opportunity for all of us who know Chet or want to help Chet out. If you'd like to help, please do. This will only be up for about 2 weeks. Anything you care to donate to this cause would be appreciated. It all adds up in the end. Thanks!

Someone from another board took the time to set up a "fund" to surprise my wife (even without my knowledge of them doing it!) with some much deserved "down time" at a local spa/salon. I've never asked for much after the accident, and wouldn't accept much, anyway. However, this is for my wife, who DEFINITELY deserves it after all she's done and been through so far. Here's the copy and paste with pertinant info from another board. Lemme know if you need any more information:

DR basically explained it all. I still get a few PM's from people on the boad on a regular basis asking if there's anything they can do. Well, here it is. I've finally found something (or IT found ME, actually) that I feel is important enough to ask publicly.
My wife has held up the world pretty much all of this year. On top of doing the single mother thing for a while, she's active duty AF, as well....and she's about 4 months pregnant! So, with all she's going through physically and emotionally, I can't think of a better way to show that people are thinking of HER as well as the gimpy one. She's been my angel through this entire thing, and I'd give anything to be able to take just a little bit of the weight off her shoulders.
You obviously don't have to contribute anything, but if you do, I want to thank you in advance. You will never have any idea how much this means to me, especially. She hasn't had a lot to smile about lately, and I can't wait to surprise her with this!
