ABS and brake lights come on at random times, spedometer bounces, and just recently the truck died twice when braking. Does anyone know what's wrong

 

On a lot of vehicles when the altenator is going bad the ABS and brake light come on and gauges will drop to 0 as the battery is going dead and then the engine will stall, but if it starts right back up then it would have to be something else. But if it starts after it sits a while if the battery is good it may charge up enough to start and run for a short period of time and then it will do the same thing again. It would also make sense for it to stall while you are braking, because then the engine RPMs drop so the altenator would charge even less.

 

i considered the alternator also, but like i said it fired right back up both times. the last time i had an alternator going bad it did the same thing though. the only difference in driving today and driving yesterday is it felt as though the breaks were grabbing? i have no idea.
