Hi,

i have some problems with my Ram.
Firs: if i go out of my car and the ligt is on it allways make ding-ding-ding.....
Secondly: if i go out of my car an the key is in the ignition look (maybe i want hear radio ???) it also makes ding-ding-ding-ding........

Pleas help me to stop it

It´s a Dodge Ram 2006 5,7 Hemi

 

Hmm.. it appears they changed a few things starting in 2006. I'll have to get back to you on this, or maybe someone else will be able to help you out.

 

They must have made changes for 2006. My 2005 does that only if I do what you said and leave the door open. If I want to listen to the radio, I put windows down and close door. If that doesn't work for you, then I don't know.......Find the dinger and a pair of vice grips and.......[sm=bustedsign.gif]

 

This is the only way i know and the easiest. With the door open, close the latch on the door with a screw driver. DONT forget to release the latch before u slam the door shut. It will break!

 

I have a feeling they probably went the same way as what my friends dads GMC did... the dinger is done through the radio.
I was originally going to suggest cutting the 'key-in switch sense' wire on the ignition switch, but 2005 was the last year for that.

Do either what dan0617 or GreyHemi said, either close the latch on the door (to make it think the door is closed), or close the door and open the window. *New fangeld vehicles*
