Newbie w/ a question on a 2003 Ram
Hey everyone,
First time on this forum.
On Tuesday, I traded my Jeep for a 2003 Ram SLT 1500. In my previous life I was a regular on a few Jeep forums. I know how annoying the newbie questions can be so I apologize in advance if I'm falling into that category right now.
The previous owner of my truck had a larger faced CD player/Navigation system and to make it fit he cut into the radio bezel. When he traded the truck in he pulled the larger head unit and put in a standard sized CD player. This left about an 1/8" gap at the top and the bottom of the filler kit. I just want to replace the the bezel but have found that it will cost nearly $200 to get a new one from the dealership. I haven't had any luck at local salvage yards either. I have found two on eBay, one is from a 2002 and the other is from a 2004. The colors match but on each of them, underneath the the air vent to the right of the CD player, there is a key switch to turn off the passenger airbag. My truck doesn't have that keyswitch it just has a solid piece of plastic. So I'm wondering if those parts are interchangeable or if there is more than one bezel to choose from.
I'm planning on pulling the dash off this weekend to figure out exactly what I need but I was wondering if anyone on here might know if these are different parts all together or if that switch and my solid plastic piece are interchangeable.
I'd appreciate any help I can get on this.

Welcome to the forum. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they are interchangeable. Someone will probably chime in that is 100% sure and prove me right or wrong. That is what is great about this forum. If someone is wrong, others will correct them, so you won't make a mistake. I've dealt with other forums, some good, some bias, but none nearly as good as this one with info.

02-05 interchangeable, just that some trucks came with different options. You could put the SRT-10 bezel in there (then you'd have a non-functioning starter switch). Welcome!
