Anyone taken there dash out for heating problems?
Anyone taken there dash out for heating problems? how hard is it i bought haynes book shows step by step doesnt look hard mostly clip ons. i have no heat on driver side after vent on for 10 seconds then u hear a shift and only cold air comes out of drivers and hot out of passengers...
just wondering if some one can help ive been asking if anyone has a picture or something to show me what the inside of the ventilation chamber looks like.. like from the fan motore to the mixing to vents andf stuff

There was a TSB on this problem. To fix it, requires a lot more than just taking the dash apart. The entire dash has to be removed, including the airbag on the passenger side. The AC has to be discharged and the antifreeze has to be drained. It is a huge job. You may want to find the TSB to start. I think you can go to http://www.dodgeram.info/ and look up the TSB. You are also going to need the FSM (Full Service Manual) from Dodge.
LOL... man I started to rip my dash appart last night trying to remove it... and I still havent been able to get that dame thing out!
I have more screws than I know what to do with... at least 100+ of them at this point. The dash is NOT budging. I think I may throw in the towel and call the dealership up and see if they can get is all fixed up... Im about ready to pull my hair out!
