I've been thinking about buying a cap for my truck, but not sure I'd want to leave it on all year long, because I have no place to store it. Anyway, I'm curious to know what brands people have, how much I can expect to pay, and maybe even some pics if you have any. Thanks.

I just bought my 2001 Ram and it came with Leer cap. Very sharp, and follows the lines of the truck nicely. On my older truck, a 1994 Dakota, I had one of those tonneau covers that opens up like a hardtop cover. I'd say your probably looking at about $800-$1000 for a cap amd about $500-$600 for a tonneau cover.

I had a nice Leer cap on my last Ram and took it off for the summer months and put it back on for hunting season. I did this for 4 years and it got old. On my new Ram I got a tri-fold toneau cover and love it. It is so much better for my needs and is lighter and doesnt impair rear view vision. Caps are better left on.

I have a LEER cap on my 2002 1500. Fiberglass with side sliders and a front slider that can actually be tilted into the bed for cleaning purposes. Spent close to $1000.00, they matched the color of the truck as well. I leave it on mostly because a fiberglass cap is pretty heavy to take on and off.
