Default engine smokes at start up

i have an 05 qc 1500 4x4 hemi with 18,000 miles i run mobil 1 syn oil. if i let it sit for about a full day or 2 and go start it up i get a good puff of blue smoke. i change the oil every 3k and right before i change it im usally down about 1 1/2 quarts of oil. Plus i noticed that the hemi tick is louder. when i pull off the oil fill cap it is all wet inside and is lined with rust. I have the apperance hood with the scoop on it and i pulled out the insert. what does everyone think. is my dealer gonna screw me

thanks paul

You should be fine to take it to the dealer. It should be covered under warranty, and the hood without the insert shouldn't be causing that oil leak. It almost sounds like you may have a bad piston ring, which is causing the the oil to leak into the cylinder. Another thing to check would be your coolant, and if your oil has a "cappucino" look to it. No matter what it is, the dealer should take care of you. If they're jerks about it, take your truck elsewhere. Chrysler should pay for the repair anyway.
