Leaking rear window??
I just posted this in another thread as well. I hope that in the future, a search for this problem will find this CORRECT answer. I wish I had found it years ago when I first started looking for the solution.
Not sure if this applies, but I have an 04 that has leaked since day one out that passenger side grab handle. There are 3 technical service bulletins, but the dodge dealer only told me of the first two.
1st TSB 23-003-04 says to take the weather strip off the door, and silicone around the screws, and reinstall. I siliconed the entire strip.
Still leaked.
2nd TSB 23-009-06 says to take the screws off the brake light, silicone the holes, reinstall, again, I siliconed the entire light, and still leaked.
Last week, I found the third bulletin, and it was dated 2003!!! so they have known about the problem since it was still under warranty, but didn't bother to do this fix or tell me how to do it myself.
WHY? Because it was a major job.
RRT #03-017 Remove all interior trim, drop the dome light and overhead computer, drop the entire head liner, and silicone the very back top passenger corner where the roof panel connects to the side panel. The robots missed a spot on that area and there is a 6" long gap where the water comes in, then it flows to the back window and comes in there and at the top screw on the grab handle. No wonder Dodge didn't want to do that to a couple million trucks. Took me over 2 hours.
Rained like crazy all this week and no more leaks, either at the back window or the handle!!!
