Default Underdrive seal leaking oil

Well, I just ordered up a new seal for the front of my engine. Turns out that after I installed my Motoblue underdrive pulley, the seal started to leak. The engine has near 30k on it, and I considered replacing the seal, but I took a chance and hoped it wouldn't leak. Live and learn I guess. Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes I had mine replaced. It still kept leaking. Then my tone ring blew up, so I decided to take the Motoblue off. Hope you make it out okay.

Wel if my tone ring blows off under warranty, then my stock pulley is going back on, and its off to the dealer! thanks for the info.

motorhead, you should search on here and on dodgetruckworld under the hemi forum about the motoblue pulley. There are TONS of people having the same problem as you. They said they put the stock pulley back on and the leak went away. Many of them did break a tone ring. Some of them said it ruined the whole engine. I don't think that the minute gain from the pulley is anywhere near worth the problems and risks. I considered a pulley since I have used them on Mustangs in the past. After searching and learning, I am 100% against it for the hemi. Especially the motoblue pulley. Check it out, I think you will probably end up back with the stock pulley on. Maybe you can get refunded for the motoblue because of the leak problem??
